Nerdy Trivia: July 4, 2025

Grill’s fired up, someone’s definitely overdoing the sparklers, and every dog in the neighborhood wishes they could buy some headphones. Hot dogs and burgers taste better for some reason, even if they are a little overcooked. It's probably not how the Founding Fathers imagined we'd be celebrating independence, but they'd be happy we're free to do so!

The summer of 1776 was hot, sticky, and absolutely brutal, but the Continental Congress pressed on. They were preparing the ultimate breakup letter for King George III, which would either make them founding fathers or get them all hanged for treason. The main thing that weirds me out about the White House — the place where the U.S. President works and lives — is that it basically has two fronts. For the longest time, I thought I was losing my mind because some photos seemed to show a circular facade, while others were more flat with columns. Plus, both exteriors have a fountain out front.
