Happy Tell a Fairy Tale Day!

The original versions of a lot of bedtime stories were genuinely horrifying, and whoever softened them (*cough* Disney *cough*) clearly had a specific agenda. Cinderella's stepsisters get their eyes pecked out by birds in the Grimm version, which got traded in for catchy songs and glass slippers. I'm not saying which version is better, but one of them is definitely sticking with you longer.
Daily Trivia
How did She-Hulk get her powers?

She-Hulk exists because of Marvel's corporate paranoia. When "The Incredible Hulk" became a hit TV series in the late '70s, comic executives panicked that Universal might pull a "Bionic Woman" and introduce their own female Hulk without having to pay Marvel. The first issue of "She-Hulk" was rushed to print to lock down the copyright before anyone else could. In the comics, how did Bruce Banner's cousin get her powers?

Retro Rewind: On This Day

Divine played Edna, the world’s most anxious hype mom, and Sonny Bono and Debbie Harry were perfectly cast as the smiling villains who wanted everything to stay “the way it is.” It was Waters’ most mainstream swing, was turned into a Broadway musical, and got a 2007 movie musical remake (you know, the one with John Travolta in full drag).
