The film's voice cast was stacked with guest stars like Whoopi Goldberg, David Spade, Tim Curry, and even Busta Rhymes as Reptar. It was the first non-Disney animated movie to cross $100 million at the U.S. box office and was the start of the "Rugrats" film series.
