Happy Go For A Ride Day!

Station wagons in the 70s had rear-facing seats that turned road trips into a hostage negotiation over who got banished to watch the car behind them. Retro Rewind: On This Day

30 years ago TODAY, every kid started side-eyeing their toy box when “Toy Story” was released in theaters in 1995!
Pixar’s first feature-length film and the first fully computer-animated feature turned Woody and Buzz’s rivalry into a buddy story that felt as big as any live-action movie, with Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, and more giving the toys very real personalities.
It became a massive hit, earned three Oscar nominations (including the first animated film for Best Original Screenplay) and a Special Achievement Award, picked up Golden Globe love, and kicked off a multibillion-dollar franchise with sequels, shorts, and theme park rides that basically rewired what we expect animated movies to look and feel like.
