I saw "National Mashed Potato Day" on my calendar and for a split second thought Thanksgiving had somehow snuck up on me, which sent me into a brief panic about whether I'd forgotten to buy a turkey. 58 years ago TODAY, Hollywood rolled out the bamboo carpet when “The Jungle Book” and “Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar,” premiered at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in 1967!
