What year did Abba win Eurovision?

ABBA clinched Eurovision in 1974 with "Waterloo," and like its namesake battle, it changed the (musical) landscape of Europe forever. After looking at past winners, the group almost played it safe with a sleepy ballad called "Hasta Mañana," but decided to take a chance on "Waterloo."
