Question

How many vertebrae does a giraffe have in its neck?

Correct Answer: 7

(Source)

Giraffes have exactly seven vertebrae in their necks, which is the exact same number you'll find in a human neck, a mouse neck, or pretty much any other mammal neck on the planet. The difference is that each of those seven giraffe vertebrae can be up to 10 inches long, while yours are maybe an inch each if you're lucky. Nature basically took the same building plan she used for every other mammal and just said "let's just make everything bigger" instead of adding more parts.
