Question

What is it called when you open wine with a blade?

▼
The answer is: Sabering. I’d probably just call it badass, but the technical term for slicing open your wine with a blade is sabering, which is pretty cool too. This technique goes all the way back to the French Revolution when Napoleon’s forces wanted to celebrate a victory with some wine after battle, but oh no! They didn’t have any corkscrews on hand. Luckily, all had their sabers ready.Source
