Question

Which British rock star had a dinosaur named after him?

The answer is: Mark Knopfler. In 2001 the dinosaur species Masiakasaurus knopfleri had its first appearance in the journal Nature. Why was the newly-found species named for Dire Straits' lead dude, Mark Knopfler? A paleontologist explained that whenever excavators played Dire Straits, they found more fossils. When they played other music, no fossils were found. Masiakasaurus was bipedal and sized like a large dog. Its musical talent is unknown. Source
