Mattel owns a lot of big toy brands — Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, and Masters of the Universe come to mind — but with over 1 billion Barbie dolls sold, we all know who's paying the bills.
But there's more to Barbie than just plastic, a gigantic movie, and an entire culture built around the brand — she has a name, too, damn it. And according to a series of novels published by Mattel in the 1960s, her name is longer than we've all been led to believe this entire time.
Don't feel too bad, I don't think that many people actually read those books — still, maybe you can figure this one out. What's Barbie's full name?

Correct Answer: Barbara Millicent Roberts
The answer is: Barbara Millicent Roberts. "Barbie" is kind of one of those words that has lost all meaning at this point. It’s more of a brand than an actual name, especially since even a person named Barbara Millicent Roberts probably wouldn’t go by Barbie in the modern day. Still, back when Ruth Handler came up with the toy, she named it after her daughter and shortened the doll's first name to what we know it as today. According to a series of novels from the '60s, she even had parents — Margaret and George Roberts.Source
