What was already the best mid-week movie hack just got cut in half... literally. Starting tomorrow, July 8, every tier of AMC Stubs will slice Tuesday ticket prices by 50 percent, matching the chain’s shiny new Wednesday deal (which also launches the next day) and doubling the reason to ditch streaming for the multiplex.

AMC’s long-running “Discount Tuesdays” had floated around five or six bucks a seat, depending on the location. Why now? Two forces collided. First, there's 2025's stacked slate with tent-poles like “Superman,” “Jurassic Park: Rebirth,” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” but also an 11 percent dip in AMC attendance during Q1. Loyalty membership tops 36 million, but the company still needs butts in reclining seats to sell popcorn margins.
