- Actress Julie Newmar (1933) purred into pop culture as the original Catwoman on TV’s “Batman” and won a Tony for “The Marriage-Go-Round.” She revisited Catwoman in the animated “Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders” and “Batman vs. Two-Face” in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

- Actor Reginald VelJohnson (1952) is America’s favorite TV cop next door, from “Family Matters” to holiday rewatches of “Die Hard.” He returned to sitcom comfort food as Progressive’s “TV Dad” in 2023 and revisited his “Turner & Hooch” role in the Disney+ series.

- TV Personality Kathie Lee Gifford (1953) brightened mornings on “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee” and later on “Today.” She added to her shelf as an author in 2024 with the devotional “I Want to Matter” and continues to champion her music-theater film “The Way.”

- Director James Cameron (1954) keeps chasing the horizon from “The Terminator” to “Avatar: The Way of Water.” He’s now deep in the next sequel, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” and lately has been candid about A.I. as Hollywood’s biggest issue.

- Actress Angela Bassett (1958) blazed through “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and ruled Wakanda in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” She received an Academy Honorary Award at the Governors Awards in January 2024 and continues to headline “9-1-1,” renewed by ABC for Season 9 in 2025.

- Singer Madonna (1958) has spent four decades rewriting pop’s rulebook with “Like a Prayer,” “Vogue,” and a catalog that never stops shapeshifting. In 2024, she closed the Celebration Tour with a record-setting Rio show before a sea of 1.6 million people.

- Actor Steve Carell (1962) went from “The Office” prankster-in-chief to a versatile leading man on screens big and small. In 2024 he made his Broadway debut in “Uncle Vanya,” and he returned as Gru in the box-office-topping “Despicable Me 4.”
