Nerdy Trivia: June 23, 2025

One of our weirdest evolutionary quirks is that sometimes we feel hungry even though our bodies are actually dehydrated. Apparently, our internal wiring got a little confused and that 3 p.m. hunger you feel is really just your body telling you to refill your water bottle. Is that gonna stop me from snacking on M&Ms when I suddenly feel hungry? No. But I can wash it down with some water, and then my body and my mind are both happy.

Rick Moranis became a household name thanks to the movie "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." The 1989 Disney comedy saw Moranis play the bumbling inventor Wayne Szalinski, who accidentally "shrunk" his kids. It was a box-office smash and is still held up as a Disney original classic, but it started as a totally different film in a different genre with a different cast and a different title.
