35 years ago TODAY, the ooze got loose when “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” hit theaters in 1991!

The sequel brings Shredder back, digs into the mutagen that created the Turtles, and gives us a much goofier, more toy-ready vibe than the first movie. That lighter tone is exactly why so many 90s kids remember Vanilla Ice burning “Go ninja, go ninja, go” into their brains.

Gene Roddenberry had a stroke of genius when he came up with the character of James T. Kirk. Beginning with his first appearances in the appropriately titled 1966 episode, “The Man Trap”, Kirk was an instantly beloved character who we seem to never be able to get enough of.
