Happy National Creativity Day!

Brains are absolutely wild biological supercomputers. Da Vinci sketched up helicopters centuries before we could make them and Pythagoras thought Earth was round roughly 2,500 years before we made it to space. So tell me why breakthroughs love showing up during completely unrelated activities? It's 3 AM and I'm in bed, why is my brain thinking up the next Oscar-winning screenplay?

What year does the sequel to "2001

Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" ends with Dave Bowman getting sucked through a psychedelic wormhole and turning into some kind of space baby, and that's not even a spoiler because you'll still finish the movie wondering "what the hell just happened?" The 1968 film was based on short stories by Arthur C. Clarke, who also collaborated with Kubrick on both the screenplay and a novelization of the film. That's where Kubrick's involvement ended, but Clarke was only just getting started. He'd go on to publish three more books, and Hollywood adapted one. What year does this sequel to "2001: A Space Odyssey" take place?
