Which British rock star had a dinosaur named after him?

Dinosaurs and rock & roll are really no strangers.
You've got your musicians (Dinosaur Jr., T-Rex), your songs (B.O.C.'s "Godzilla", "Walk the Dinosaur"), and your — uh, not sure what to call 'em (that Cadillacs and Dinosaurs game for the Sega CD).
But things went to new heights when paleontologists named a newly discovered species of dino after one of their favorite British rock stars. Who was it?

Correct Answer: Mark Knopfler
The answer is: Mark Knopfler. In 2001 the dinosaur species Masiakasaurus knopfleri had its first appearance in the journal Nature. Why was the newly-found species named for Dire Straits' lead dude, Mark Knopfler? A paleontologist explained that whenever excavators played Dire Straits, they found more fossils. When they played other music, no fossils were found. Masiakasaurus was bipedal and sized like a large dog. Its musical talent is unknown. Source
