Happy National Hamburger Day!

The hamburger has been around for roughly 140 years and no one has meaningfully improved on it. A thin patty with crispy edges, American cheese melted past the patty into the bun, pickles cold from the jar. Anyone who's tried to do more has been politely ignored by history.

44 years ago TODAY, Clubber Lang knocked the comfort right out of the heavyweight champ when "Rocky III" hit theaters in 1982!
Turns out being champ for a while will soften anyone up, and Mr. T's Clubber Lang was happy to point that out with both fists. Rocky had to swallow his pride and let Carl Weathers' Apollo Creed, of all people, drag him back to basics, trading the marble penthouse for a beat-up gym and beach sprints. Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" ended up riding the film to six weeks at Billboard number one, a Grammy, and an Oscar nomination.

Pizza Hut is bringing back the red roof. And the Tiffany lamp, and the red plastic cup, and the checkered tablecloth, and the Pac-Man machine in the corner that ate every quarter you had between ages 7 and 12 (mine still owes me money).
