(Source)You gotta love that Crockett used one alias for years and nobody in Miami connected the dots (shouldn't have been hard considering he kept the same first name). He played Sonny Burnett so well that when a boat explosion in season four wiped his memory, even Crockett was convinced he was actually a cartel member and spent the start of the next season committing murders while his own department looked for him. It was "Miami Vice's" only season-ending cliffhanger because how could you possibly follow that with a "next week on"?
