Since everyone has tried to sing along to "Bohemian Rhapsody" at least once, you know just how hard it is to sing like Freddie Mercury. There's an argument to be made that he stands alone as the most talented singer in the history of rock and roll.
Maybe it was because his voice was so incredible that he exuded so much confidence on stage, in turn making Queen one of the biggest musical acts in the world. Most people can maybe hit a vocal range within two octaves — Mercury had a four-octave range.

Born in Zanzibar of Parsi-Indian parents as Farrokh Bulsara, there was no way he could be the rock legend he was destined to be without an easy to scream name.Once he formed Queen, Farrokh changed his name based on one of his songs that said: “Oh Mother Mercury, what have you done to me?” Of course, if he wanted to be named after the hottest planet in the solar system he should’ve gone with Freddie Venus.
