What was the original name of "The Flintstones"?

It's impossible to read "Flintstones, meet the Flintstones" without singing along. Debuting in 1960, "The Flintstones" was the first animated sitcom, and it was produced by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creative force behind "Tom & Jerry." But for Hanna, there was an even better name that lawyers had barred him from using. What was the original name for "The Flintstones"?

Correct Answer: The Flagstones
(Source)Hanna-Barbera thought they had cracked the code for animation success. Take "The Honeymooners" (allegedly), throw it back a few million years, and watch audiences fall in love with a Stone Age family dealing with modern problems using dinosaur-powered appliances. They called it "The Flagstones." Personally, it doesn't roll off the tongue for me, but I'm not an Academy Award-winning animation producer. Fortunately, comic strip creator Mort Walker had been running "Hi and Lois" for years, featuring the Flagston family. After some calls with lawyers, Hanna-Barbera decided it was better to change the name and avoid a "Yabba Dabba Disaster."
