Question

In 1984, Wham! created pop magic with their infectiously peppy dance hit. When George Michael sings "Wake me up before you go-go," most people can instantly belt out the next line. Do you know the words that follow this iconic opening?
▼
"Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" topped the charts in 1984 because Andrew Ridgeley couldn't write a coherent note to his mom before bedtime. The Wham! member wrote "wake me up before you go go" (accidentally repeating "go"), and when George Michael spotted his friend's sleep-deprived scribble, he turned the dorky mistake into a worldwide #1 hit. Sometimes greatness starts with bad penmanship.
