Correct Answer: 5
(Source)The original "Planet of the Apes" franchise consisted of five progressively weirder films that rolled out between 1968 and 1973. After the original movie's massive success, Fox immediately greenlit "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" in 1970, which managed to blow up the entire planet by the end credits. Most franchises would call it quits after literally destroying their world, but the apes found a way to keep going.
