Correct Answer: The van
The answer is: The van. Lyrics to this iconic Beatles song include: “Sitting on a cornflake/Waiting for the van to come.” Songwriter John Lennon’s surrealist imagery was partly inspired by “The Walrus and the Carpenter,” a poem performed by Tweedledum and Tweedledee in Lewis Carroll’s novel “Through the Looking Glass.” Lennon later re-read the poem and realized that he didn’t actually identify with the walrus; it symbolized greed and selfishness. But by then the lyrics were set and sounded pretty darn good. Source
