But we’re not talking about that tape you used to record reruns of Happy Days — unless you have an unsealed copy of a hard-to-find release from 30 to 40 years ago, you’re not going to find a secret fortune in that box of tapes in your basement. Sorry.

The answer is: $114,000. If you’re looking to get your hands on an unsealed copy of the original VHS release of Star Wars(sans the “New Hope” retrofit), you’ll have to cough up at least $114,000, which was the price paid at auction in the fall of 2022. Source
