What's the name of the fictional kingdom in "Aladdin"?

Disney's "Aladdin" transported audiences to a magical Arabian kingdom filled with bustling marketplaces, towering palaces, and endless desert stretching to the horizon. The original plan was to use Baghdad, Iraq but the Gulf War made that a little... awkward, so directors Ron Clements and John Musker invented an entirely new country. What's the name of the fictional kingdom where Aladdin steals bread, meets Princess Jasmine, and discovers his magical lamp?

Correct Answer: Agrabah
(Source)If you ever looked at the Sultan's palace in "Aladdin" and thought it looked like the Taj Mahal, you'd be correct. And the Taj Mahal is located in the city of Agra, which is also where the first part of Agrabah comes from. Don't ask me where the "bah" is from. Once the team decided they couldn't use Baghdad due to the war, they went to a Saudi Arabian expo in L.A. and sort of just mixed and matched regional influences. The result was a kingdom that borrowed architectural and cultural elements from across the Middle East and South Asia, creating a "city of mystery, of enchantment" that felt authentically Arabian without being tied to any specific real-world location.
