Sing it with me:
Spider-Man, Spider-Man
Does whatever a spider can!
Back in 1967, Marvel's web-slinger swung from comic book pages to the small screen. Kids across America were about to discover what it was like to swing through New York City alongside Spider-Man in the comfort of their living rooms, complete with a theme song so catchy it's still stuck in people's heads more than 50 years later. Which TV network aired the original "Spider-Man" animated series?
▼
Correct Answer: ABC
(Source)ABC picked up the original "Spider-Man" animated series and gave it a prime 10 a.m. Saturday morning slot that turned the web-slinger into a household name. The show premiered on September 9, 1967, and ABC executives probably had no idea they were launching what would become one of the most recognizable superhero theme songs in television history. ABC stuck with Spider-Man through 39 episodes before the third season moved into syndication in 1970. The network had introduced an entire generation of kids to their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and those same kids grew up humming the theme song while pretending to shoot webs from their wrists.
