Sandra Bullock starred in a TV series based on which movie?

NBC thought they had a foolproof plan. Take a movie that grossed over $100 million at the box office and earned six Oscar nominations, cast an actress fresh off nine seasons of "The Facts of Life," and watch the ratings roll in. Nancy McKeon seemed like a sure thing for "Working Girl," but after shooting the pilot, the network decided this girl wasn't working. When they needed to recast, they picked an unknown actress named Sandra Bullock. Unluckily for her (but luckily for us), the show didn't even make it to episode 10 before it got cancelled. Four years later, "Speed" made Bullock one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, so I'd say she eventually figured out how to make it work.
