Who is a founder of Studio Ghibli?

Studio Ghibli makes gorgeous animated movies that somehow turn environmental cleanup into epic adventures and make you cry over a moving castle. Their hand-drawn masterpieces like "My Neighbor Totoro," "Spirited Away," and "Princess Mononoke" have this magical ability to transport you to worlds you never want to leave. Which filmmaker helped launch the studio that would redefine what animation could achieve?
▼
Correct Answer: Hayao Miyazaki
(Source)Miyazaki founded Studio Ghibli with his longtime friend Isao Takahata and magazine editor Toshio Suzuki, with some help from Yasuyoshi Tokuma, too. They named their new studio after an Italian military aircraft because Miyazaki was completely obsessed with flying machines (which explains why so many Ghibli movies feature people soaring through the sky). Miyazaki had just finished directing "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" in 1984, which was such a hit that it played a major role in funding the new venture. The two directors pushed each other to create increasingly ambitious films, and reached international acclaim with "My Neighbor Totoro" in 1988 and finally took home an Oscar in 2003 for "Spirited Away."
