Who was the first woman to be both host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live"?

Doing double duty as both host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" sounds more like a punishment than a reward to me. I'd much rather be doing a cushy TV interview, but the first person to take on double duty showed up on the second episode. The first woman took on the challenge a few weeks later. Who was the first woman to be both host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live"?

Correct Answer: Lily Tomlin
(Source)The sixth episode of SNL's first season played more like a one-woman variety special than a sketch show. Lily Tomlin brought her famous "Laugh-In" character Edith Ann, sang "St. James Infirmary" with Howard Shore and the All Nurse Band (in nurse outfits, obviously), and did a duet of "I Got You Babe" with a Muppet named Scred. She wasn't technically billed as the musical guest, but I'd say she earned the double billing.
