Whose leg is on the poster of "The Graduate"?

One of the most iconic movie posters of the 1960s belongs to "The Graduate," and shows a young Dustin Hoffman trapped behind a woman's stocking-clad leg. The poster is a recreation of the famous scene where Mrs. Robinson lifts her leg onto a barstool while trying to seduce the nervous college grad. Whose leg appears on the poster?
▼
Correct Answer: Linda Gray
(Source)The leg that launched a thousand fantasies belonged to Linda Gray, who was just a working model when she showed up for the photo shoot. Bancroft had somewhere else to be that day, so Gray got paid $25 to slide on the stockings and pose for what became one of the most famous movie posters ever made. Fast forward a few years and Gray became a genuine celebrity playing Sue Ellen Ewing on "Dallas," spending years drinking, scheming, and battling J.R. in front of millions of viewers every week. The universe eventually came full circle when Gray got cast as Mrs. Robinson in a London stage production, finally getting to play the character whose famous appendage she'd borrowed decades earlier.
