After Jaws in 1975, when was the next time Steven Spielberg and Roy Scheider worked together?

It’s hard to believe that we’re coming up on 50 years of Jaws, but hell, that’s where we are. Steven Spielberg doesn’t wear those short shorts anymore, but it’s incredible to think that the dude who essentially willed the summer blockbuster into existence back in 1975 is still out there making movies.
Of course, the movie wouldn’t have worked so well without Roy Scheider’s standout performance, under the guidance of the young Spielberg. And it was destiny that brought them together — Scheider only became interested in the role after overhearing Spielberg talking about the movie with a writer at a party.
The collaboration between the director and lead actor was about as successful as any could possibly ever be, so you’d think they’d hook right back up and do it all over again. What was the next time this dynamic duo worked together?

Correct Answer: SeaQuest DSV
The answer is: SeaQuest DSV. Although they had huge success working together on Jaws in 1975, Steven Spielberg and Roy Scheider didn’t work together again until nearly two decades later with the SeaQuest DSV television series in 1993. Roy returned to work on Jaws 2, but Spielberg sat the sequel out because of the production problems that plagued the original movie. It would take another aquatic project to bring them together, this time for the smaller screen.Source
