II.

Michael J. Fox could do no wrong in the late '80s, as The Secret of My Success was released on this day in 1987 and topped the box office. The secret? Lie.

Newsies also came out on this day but in 1992, and remains Christian Bale's defining role.

In publicity materials released for his first solo album, Paul McCartney essentially made the breakup of The Beatles official in 1970. In the materials was a Q&A, including the following:

Q: "Do you foresee a time when Lennon-McCartney becomes an active songwriting partnership again?"

McCartney: "No."

It would take four more years for the legal dissolution of the band to finalize.
