Actor Geoffrey Rush (1951) took home the Best Actor Oscar for "Shine" and picked up more Oscar nominations for "Shakespeare in Love" and "The King's Speech." He later went full pirate as Captain Barbossa across the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films.
