Actor Keith David (1956) chilled audiences as the wary Childs in "The Thing" and Private King in Best Picture Oscar winner "Platoon." That bottomless bass voice has won him Emmy Awards for documentary narration and brought Goliath to life on "Gargoyles." He later preached as Bishop James Greenleaf on "Greenleaf" and voiced Mufasa's father in "Mufasa: The Lion King."

Singer El DeBarge (1961) rode his high tenor to fame as the lead voice of family group DeBarge on hits like "Rhythm of the Night" and "All This Love." He went solo with the Top 5 smash "Who's Johnny" from "Short Circuit" and, after years away, came roaring back with the Grammy-nominated album "Second Chance."
