Actor Steve Schirripa (1957) was running entertainment at the Riviera in Las Vegas before "The Sopranos" turned him into Bobby Baccalieri and won him a share of the cast's Screen Actors Guild ensemble award. He swapped the mob for the badge as Detective Anthony Abetemarco on "Blue Bloods" and has since turned up on "Dexter: Resurrection."
Actor Charlie Sheen (1965) went from the jungle of "Platoon" and the trading floor of "Wall Street" to the pitcher's mound in "Major League," then picked up a Golden Globe for "Spin City." He was the highest-paid actor on television during "Two and a Half Men," and in 2025 he told the whole story himself in the memoir "The Book of Sheen" and the Netflix documentary "aka Charlie Sheen."
