How long would it take to read all the information on the internet?

Here's a fun thing to do with information: Put it online.
The very first website, attributed to the good folks at CERN, was just information about how the internet could be used to exchange information. Even that one little webpage felt like it was packed full of stuff — and that was way before the dancing hamsters!
Aside from those old mixtapes you still have stored in the basement somewhere, most of the world's information has been put onto the internet in some form or another. Today you can pull it up at the literal tap of a finger.
But what if you wanted to print out all that information, sit down, and simply read it? How long would that take?

Correct Answer: 57,000 years
The answer is: 57,000 years. If you were to print out the internet and simply read it — without taking any breaks — it'd take you about 57,000 years to wrap it up. That's not counting social media posts — oh, and also this was calculated back in 2009, when there was WAY LESS stuff online. Someday we can ask AI to check for us, but right now I think that'd break the entire internet.Source
