I remember the days when translating a video game into anything other than a video game generally ended up with disastrous results. Anyone who saw the Street Fighter movie from 1994 can back me up here.
But recently there's been this weird phenomenon where movies and TV shows based on games have actually been pretty good. Of course, in the case of The Last of Us, they were starting out with some pretty great source material.
Joel, portrayed by Pedro Pascal, has an ambiguous age in both versions of the story, and they don't necessarily match up. How old is this character supposed to be in the TV show?
