Finish the Aerosmith lyric: “Sing with me, sing for the year…”?

Steven Tyler was only a teenager when he wrote one of rock's most epic sing-along anthems at his grandmother's piano. "Dream On" starts off all quiet and brooding before exploding into that chorus that makes everyone think they can hit those high notes (spoiler alert: they can't). What lyric follows "Sing with me, sing for the year"?

Correct Answer: “Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear”
(Source)Tyler wrote "Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear" and the rest of "Dream On" at 14 while at his grandmother's fancy Steinway piano. The song sat collecting dust for years until Aerosmith finally recorded it for their 1973 debut album, where it promptly face-planted everywhere except the band's native city of Boston. Columbia Records basically shrugged and moved on until some studio exec thought, "Hey, what if we try that Tyler scream-fest again?" in 1975 and re-released it. Turns out third time's the charm, and Tyler's vocal climb quickly became rock radio's favorite dramatic moment.
