Finish the first line of Elton John's "Crocodile Rock"

Elton John's "Crocodile Rock" became his first number-one single in the United States in 1973, launching him into superstar territory with what he later called "disposable pop" (but I call pure nostalgia). The track was deliberately crafted to capture the spirit of early rock and roll, and it opens with a wistful line that sets the whole nostalgic tone. Can you finish the first line of "Crocodile Rock":
"I remember when rock was young..."
▼
Correct Answer: Me and Suzie had so much fun
(Source)John later admitted he wanted the song to be "a record about all the things I grew up with" and called it "derivative in every sense of the word." "Me and Suzie had so much fun" completes the opening line that launches listeners into a nostalgic trip. The track was inspired by Australian band Daddy Cool's "Eagle Rock," which John discovered during his 1972 tour. He packed “Crocodile Rock” with 1950s throwback energy, including an explicit lyric nod to Bill Haley’s “Rock Around the Clock.” The song's falsetto "la-la-las" were so similar to Pat Boone's "Speedy Gonzales" that composer Buddy Kaye sued in 1974, though they settled out of court. Despite both John and lyricist Bernie Taupin dismissing the song, "Crocodile Rock" spent three weeks at number one and remains a concert staple five decades later.
