(Source)The complete line is "You're as cold as ice, you're willing to sacrifice our love," and it pretty much sums up every terrible relationship that couldn't put genuine feelings first. The track turned a weather report into a song about heartless relationships and it became one of their best-known songs, reaching six on the Billboard Hot 100. Mick Jones was at home at his piano one night when the riff for "Cold As Ice" just came out, so he wrote the song around it. The band recorded it during a blizzard in New York, which seemed like a good omen for the song.
