I wonder if there’s anyone who genuinely only knows Vanilla Ice, aka Rob Van Winkle, from his home improvement TV shows. If you’re a fan of "The Vanilla Ice Project," you may be surprised to learn that his nickname isn’t just because he stays so cool even when there are problems on the construction site — he used to be a superstar rapper.
It’s not his fault he ended up taking so much blowback, and regardless of what anyone who made fun of Ice says, the dude had a no. 1 song.
“Ice Ice Baby” began life as a B-side for a cover of "Play That Funky Music". But the cover wasn’t well received, so DJ David Morales played “Ice” instead — and the rest is history.
This song was relentlessly played on the radio in the early ‘90s, and still pops up regularly today. The lyrics have probably been crammed into your brain by now… right?

Correct Answer: Turn off the lights, and I'll glow
The answer is: Turn off the lights, and I'll glow. When there’s a song that is played as much as Vanilla Ice’s seminal hit, it’s hard to stop your brain from reciting the entire song once you get started — or at least the opening verse.I have to admit, glowing does seem like a pretty cool thing to be able to do when rapping.Source
