When I was a kid, I mostly knew Elizabeth Taylor as a person who got married a lot of times. Whenever I saw her on TV, it had something to do with a marriage or a divorce. It was that simple.
Turns out, she was also one of the most revered and beloved actresses of a generation, with not one but two Academy Awards for Best Actress under her belt. But I don't think I'll ever get over my kid-self cementing her in my mind as someone mostly known for all the weddings and whatnot.
