In Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, which NHL team's jersey does Cameron wear?

Ferris Bueller really is kind of a jerk. A lovable one, but still, a jerk.
Besides general tomfoolery, he convinces his neurotic friend, Cameron Frye, to leave the house and galavant around Chicago when he really, REALLY doesn’t want to. Also, where in Chicago does Cameron live that he has a sweet house out in the middle of the wilderness?
And on top of that, Ferris basically causes the destruction of a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider that belongs to Cameron’s scary and overbearing father. But somehow, it’s a good thing? That’s the takeaway of 1986’s Ferris Bueller’s Day Off — everything Ferris Bueller does, no matter how mischievous, is inevitably good.
As Ferris, Cameron, and Sloan galavant around the city, Cameron wears an NHL team’s jersey. Which team is it?

The answer is: Detroit Red Wings. You’d think that being a Chicago native, Cameron would be repping his hometown Blackhawks. But that would be too easy. According to actor Alan Ruck, the Detroit jersey was actually explained in a deleted scene. Cameron’s grandfather used to take him to Red Wings games when he was younger. Still, pretty bold.Source
