In Silence of the Lambs, what type of wine does Hannibal Lecter say he had on the side of his victim?

For a movie that covers some truly sinister and dark topics, we sure do love to quote 1991’s The Silence of the Lambs. Admit it, anytime you use hand lotion, you mutter to yourself, “It rubs the lotion on its skin.”
We won’t linger on the meanings behind these famous lines for too long, but if you really think about it it’s kind of insane how laissez-faire we are as a society with dropping them inside everyday conversations.
Of course, a major reason they’ve become so ubiquitous is because this movie is just so damn good, in large part thanks to Anthony Hopkins’ iconic performance as the cannibalistic Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Hannibal really enjoys messing with the agents who come to see him, in particular Clarice Starling, as portrayed by Jodie Foster.
In one of the most famous movie lines ever said onscreen, Dr. Lecter reveals just how sinister he really is by describing the type of wine he once drank alongside a victim. What type of wine is it?

Correct Answer: Chianti
The answer is: Chianti. In one of the most quoted lines in movie history, Dr. Hannibal Lecter reveals to Clarice, a young FBI investigator, how he devoured one of his victims, a census taker: “I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti." He then follows that up with the iconic “ffffff” sound.Look, we all get annoyed by census takers, but this seems a bit extreme. We suggest just sticking to the wine part.Source
