“Mommie Dearest” dramatizes the life of which actress?

Faye Dunaway spent decades publicly regretting starring in "Mommie Dearest." Only four years after her "Network" Oscar, her attempt at a second Academy Award didn't exactly pan out the way she expected. Which actress's life is dramatized in "Mommie Dearest"?
▼
Correct Answer: Joan Crawford
(Source)From "Raging Bull" to "The Iron Lady," biopics are supposed to be easy awards bait. And to be fair, "Mommie Dearest" DID win a lot of awards, but it won them at the Razzies for things like Worst Picture and Worst Actress. The wire-hanger beating that swallowed Joan Crawford's legacy wasn't even in the book. Audiences laughed so hard during the movie that Paramount switched the marketing and leaned into the unintentional comedy instead.
