In "The Karate Kid," what’s the name of the technique Mr. Miyagi teaches Daniel?

How do you beat a bully? That’s right, learn karate.
We first learned this important lesson from 1984’s seminal The Karate Kid, when teen Daniel LaRusso, despite having the coolest Halloween costume ever, gets jumped on the beach by Johnny Lawrence and his fellow Cobra Kai members.
After Mr. Miyagi saves him and kicks a bunch of teenager butt, Daniel wants to learn. Of course, first he has to wax things and trim little trees, but eventually he does learn one particular technique that helps him to win The All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament.
(Sidenote: Let’s just appreciate for a hot second how this movie made an under 18 karate tournament seem like the most important sporting event in history.)
What was that technique called?

Correct Answer: Crane Kick
The answer is: Crane Kick. Admit it — when Kerri Strug hurt her ankle at the 1996 Summer Olympics, you quietly thought “crane kick time.” When Daniel observes Mr. Miyagi practicing crane-style karate, he asks if he can learn. And turns out Miyagi is right when he says, “If do right, no can defense."Doing it with an injury? Honestly, that’s just showing off.Source
