Clint Eastwood had this weird talent for making the most ridiculous threats sound genuinely terrifying. Picture a guy eternally in his 50s squinting at criminals and basically daring them to give him an excuse to shoot, and somehow it worked every single time. One particular line got so famous that Ronald Reagan started using it in actual presidential speeches. Which movie gave us "Go ahead, make my day"?

Correct Answer: Sudden Impact (1983)
(Source)Harry Callahan is standing in a diner when some idiot decides to rob the place, and Eastwood just calmly points his giant .44 Magnum at the guy and delivers the line that would haunt every wannabe tough guy for the next 40 years. "Sudden Impact" was the fourth Dirty Harry movie, and by 1983 they'd pretty much perfected the formula of Clint looking vaguely annoyed while threatening to blow people away. Eastwood directed this one himself, and honestly I'm not convinced he was even acting at this point, I think this is just how he is. The American Film Institute has "Go ahead, make my day" listed as #6 on its list of best American movie quotes. The line became such a cultural staple it's been printed on everything from bumper stickers to coffee mugs, because nothing says tough guy like threats over morning coffee.
