"The Mask" is based off of a comic from which publisher?

Jim Carrey's 1994 hit "The Mask" turned mild-mannered bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss into a green-faced, reality-bending force of chaos. The movie was a massive hit, but most people had no idea they were watching an adaptation of a comic book. Which comic book publisher originally brought us "The Mask"?
▼
Correct Answer: Dark Horse
(Source)"The Mask" started as a wild sketch that Mike Richardson drew back in 1982, and he finally got to share it with the public after he launched Dark Horse Comics. Richardson turned the idea into a comic series in 1991 with cartoon-style mayhem and violence that was more disturbing than goofy. When Hollywood decided to bring it to the big screen, they made Jim Carrey's antics more playful and risqué. Toning it down definitely paid off because it earned $350 million worldwide and helped turn Carrey into the biggest comedy star on the planet.
