The answer is: Salvatore and Cherilyn. Salvatore Bono and Cherilyn Sarkisian met in an LA café in 1962. Soon she joined him at a recording studio managed by the notorious Phil Spector. There they worked as backup singers while aiming to become stars. After briefly billing themselves as Caesar and Cleo, in 1964 the couple released pop songs as Sonny & Cher. They were an international sensation by 1965, claiming five Billboard Top 20 hits that year. The couple frequently appeared on TV shows and eventually hosted their own variety show. After divorcing in 1975 they returned amicably to the airwaves with “The Sonny & Cher Show” in ‘76.Source
