We've said it before and we'll say it again: We'll pay attention to all this hubbub about artificial intelligence when it can control a sports car and converse with us the same way KITT (or K.I.T.T.) did in the '80s action-sci-fi TV series, Knight Rider.
I mean, yay for ChatGPT that it can tell you a joke about penguins or whatever, but KITT had real thoughts and feelings — not to mention a pretty kick-ass car as its body.
While it's a pretty cool name regardless, it was indeed an acronym. What does KITT stand for?

Correct Answer: Knight Industries Two Thousand
The answer is: Knight Industries Two Thousand. Maybe only coming in second behind the time-traveling DeLorean, K.I.T.T. is by far the coolest fictional car ever made. Originally standing for Knight Industries Two Thousand, it was later updated to Three Thousand, which cleverly didn’t require a name change. Turns out the original pitched name was K.A.R.R., meaning Knight Industries Roving Robot, which sounds way way dumber in my opinion. Source
